Polar Pile Turner Reaches 750 Units World Wide |

Since its introduction to the market at Drupa 2000, Polar’s PW 4 series of pile turners gained immediate acceptance by printers with the 750th unit recently being shipped to a customer.
Since then the PW4 pile turner has been further improved to provide even greater productivity and ease of operation.
The turning and airing functions of the pile turner accelerates drying of printed sheets before backing up jobs.
Polar’s pile turners offer increased efficiency and quality in the finishing department as well, by aerating and separating the sheets before folding, thus reducing machine stoppages and waste.
Heavy spray powder can also cause problems when cutting and trimming printed sheets. Polar’s pile turners solve this problem by blowing out the accumulated spray powder.
The model PW 4ABV provides aligning, aeration and vibration of the paper pile and can add value to the following fields of application:
- Turning material piles
- Changing pallets
- Splitting piles
- Removing waste sheets
- Removing printing powder
- Better adjustment of pile and removal of displaced sheets in the pile
- Minimizing odour
- Conditioning of material
