Prinect MetaDimension comes with Stochastic for free |

Heidelberg has just released an update for its Prinect MetaDimension RIP. MetaDimension is the source for any screen ruling on the plate. With MetaDimension 6.5 Heidelberg now delivers a Starter Edition of Prinect Stochastic Screening. It comes free of charge with any MetaDimension 6.5 and offers a true 20 micron dot size. This will enable users to increase their printing quality without the necessity to purchase this option. Customers with a software contract will receive the upgrade as part of their contract without charge.
The Stochastic Starter is a true FM screening, based on the second generation FM technology which is used with Prinect Stochastic Screening.
The only difference to the full version is a slightly coarser structure in the mid-tones with the Stochastic Starter. But thanks to the small dot size of 20 micron for most applications the Stochastic Starter will do the trick.
For highest FM quality without a limitation in dot size customers will need to upgrade to the full Prinect Stochastic Screening, which is enhanced in the new version 6.5.
