Peak Performance – Seven Wonders

Heideberg sponsored mountain climber Rex Pemberton achieves new Australian record.
Details
Heideberg sponsored mountain climber Rex Pemberton achieves new Australian record.

Heidelberg congratulates ‘peak performer’ Rex Pemberton on becoming the youngest Australian to climb the highest mountain on each of the world’s seven continents, thus completing his ‘Seven Summits Quest’.

Rex secured the Australian record on Friday 22nd December at 2.27am (Sydney time) when he summated the peak of Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina. This is the second Australian record for Rex. In May 2005, at the age of 21, Rex became the youngest Australian to climb Mt Everest.

The Seven Summits Quest is an arduous challenge and only a small number of climbers have succeeded in this achievement.

Rex’s peak performance marks a parallel milestone achievement for Heidelberg with the installation and commissioning of the seventh Speedmaster XL105 Peak Performance press in Australia.

Launched globally at drupa 2004, the XL105 heralds a new high performance printing platform for the world’s leading solution provider to the print media industry. The XL105 offers high quality, quick make-ready, 18,000 sheets per hour performance, with double coating and UV.

Heidelberg has been associated with Rex since he was guest of honour at the Australia and New Zealand launch of the Speedmaster XL105 Peak Performance Press in August 2005 and we are proud to be a primary sponsor on Rex’s Seven Summits Quest.
