The Sunshine State continues to move ahead in leaps and bounds as Queensland leads the nation in economic growth for the tenth consecutive year. While the population increases at a moderate level, investment in the business sector is high and exports are tipped to peak at more than 6% growth in the coming year.
In a booming economy those printers who have adopted the latest in technology are in a prime position to take advantage of the marketing frenzy that economic growth generates.
The buzz words of yesterday, efficiency and productivity, are today fundamentals to the new catch cry - ‘print more profitably’. Without an efficient workflow, without productive equipment it is impossible to thrive in what is an increasingly competitive environment.
With market lines blurring as A3 printers garner work from the A2 sector, State boundaries cease to pose a barrier and the digital revolution continues to gain pace, printers need to use technology to their advantage to stay in the race.
Queensland printers understand this shift in thinking. Across the State, from the sunshine coast to the northern reaches of Mackay and beyond, printers are working with Heidelberg to install the technology that will drive profitability well into the future.

Heidelberg’s Northern Regions Manager, Richard Timson says the State is seeing a real boom in the A3 and A2 sectors. “The growth predictions for the State over the next twelve months can be readily applied to the printing sector particularly in the A2 and A3 markets where there is the most activity. In addition to the business being written with four and five colour presses, the installation of long perfector machines at three major sites – Printcraft, Scanlon Print and Penfold Buscombe – indicate another solid, productive year for the State.”
