POLAR at IPEX 2006

21-02-2006
POLAR will be presenting its products in a separate section of the stand occupied by Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG at IPEX 2006.

You will find POLAR in Hall 8, booth 08-A3, centrally integrated in the Heidelberg hall.

With IPEX taking place during POLAR’S 100th anniversary year, we are presented with an excellent venue to showcase the latest developments in the field of cutting. IPEX offers us the opportunity to demonstrate just why POLAR deserves its reputation as the technological leader, particularly in the field of automated cutting processes.

We will be showing the POLAR 66 cutting machine, suitable for uncomplicated, low-volume cutting jobs, the POLAR 78 X, a high-speed, programmable all-rounder equipped with a 15“ colour display suitable for all standard cutting jobs, and a POLAR 115 XT - our programmable top-of-the-line model with 15“ colour display and touch-screen operation, best suited to the most demanding of cutting jobs.
All POLAR high-speed cutters of the X/ XT-Generation can be networked via P-Net.

In addition to the above you will see:

POLAR's PW-4 AB pile turner is a solo component which turns piles automatically and quickly. It offers airing and aligning of paper material. The POLAR presented stand-alone die cutter DC-M is targeted for the efficient off-line production of die-cut labels in small to medium volumes.

The universal POLAR L-R-92-B Cutting System will be one of the systems on display. It comprises a loading lift, jogger, high-speed cutter and BT single-head bander. We will demonstrate how postcards (for example) can be efficiently processed and banded, especially when dealing with small quantities.

The AJ-137-T-PACE Cutting System is a POLAR highlight at the IPEX. This largely automated cutting system is combined with the fully-automated Auto-jog jogging system and shows a wide range of automation options offering many new ways to increase productivity in the printing business. This system is part of the main presentation in Heidelberg's Industrial Area.

POLAR L-R-137-T PACE Cutting System
Along with a loading lift, a jogger and a POLAR 137 AT machine this system includes a Transomat unloading unit. The automatic four-side trim that will be shown at the fair ensures an excellent productivity with minimum operational personnel.

POLAR LabelSystem SC-20
This system includes an automatic POLAR 137 Autotrim M high-speed cutter and the extremely flexible BM-105 multi-station bander. This system is targeted for the industrial production of square-cut labels and -material.

POLAR P-Net Service Compucut
Compucut is an optional software application within the P-Net concept and allows transfer of prepress data automatically (CIP 3 & 4), thus reducing make-ready time of the high-speed cutter to a minimum.

“I am looking forward to seeing a large number of Australian and New Zealand customers at IPEX 2006. Polar’s range of machinery on display is exciting and innovative and offers solutions to printers across the spectrum from smaller operations to larger operations,” said Rudi Kolbach, Product Manager Post-Press for Heidelberg Australia and New Zealand.
